ROLE OVERVIEW:
An ITI Electrician is a skilled professional trained to install, test, commission, and repair electrical wiring, industrial circuitry, power boards, and machinery. This trade is highly sought after across manufacturing plants, railways, state electricity boards, and commercial projects.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Electrical wiring and circuit design
- Industrial electrical troubleshooting
- Panel board assembly
- Transformer maintenance and electrical safety
TOOLS USED:
- Multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers (meggers)
- Wire strippers, crimping tools, line testers, and soldering irons
- Conduit bending tools, screwdrivers, and pliers

INTERVIEW QUESTIONS:
1. Q: What is Ohm's law and how does it apply to electric circuits?
A: Ohm's law states that current (I) is directly proportional to voltage (V) and inversely proportional to resistance (R) (I = V/R).
2. Q: What safety precautions must be taken before working on live electrical circuits?
A: De-energize the circuit, use LOTO (Lock-Out Tag-Out) procedures, verify with a tester, and wear insulated safety gloves and boots.
