About the Program
NAPS was launched by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in 2016. It offers financial sharing of stipend costs with employers and basic training support. The program bridges the skill gap in manufacturing and service industries by encouraging on-the-job training.
Eligibility & Beneficiary Profile
All Technical Candidates
ITI Pass candidates, Class 10/12 pass graduates, or PMKVY certified youth. Age: 14 to 35 years.
Benefits Offered
Hands-on industry experience, formal registration on the Apprenticeship India portal, and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) upon completion. Stipends vary based on employer, trade, location, apprenticeship category, and applicable government guidelines.
